About Rodney

Rodney Q. Harris has been building and selling homes in the Wilmington area since 1992. He moved to the area while working in the Golf Industry. After completing the construction of two championship course designed by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus at Landfall Club, Mr. Harris joined his uncle in the construction industry where together they build over 800 homes. In 1997 Mr. Harris founded his own residential construction firm, building entry level to large custom homes, winning awards for his construction projects.

Over the years Mr. Harris' and sales teams have worked closely with hundreds of agents in the area. He was also honored with the Builder of the Year award by the Association.

Mr. Harris served on the New Hanover County Planning Board for six years with four of those years as Chairman. He has also served as Chairman of the New Hanover County Inspections Department Advisory Council. He enjoys golf, boating and family time.

Mr. Harris grew up in Kannapolis in the Piedmont Area of NC. He graduated from NC State University in 1975, lived for a short time in New Bern, NC and has been in the Wilmington area since 1978.

Debbie Mitchell grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland just outside of Washington, D.C. She graduated from Salem College in West Virginia, earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Art Therapy, and started her career working with troubled youths as a counselor. Debbie moved to Wrightsville Beach in 1986 and began her real estate career in 1992. She quickly rose through the ranks and soon became one of the top agents in the Wilmington area. Debbie was the recipient of the Legend award at Prudential Carolinas Realty for being in the 1% of Prudential agents nationally for 5 consecutive years.

Vance Bondurant Young, a 43 year old native of Wilson, NC, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in history. He worked as a licensed financial consultant with Merrill Lynch receiving his training in Manhattan and later at the Princeton Corporate Campus. In his first year of production, he was honored by recognition into Merrill Lynch's Executive Circle. In 1988, Vance pursued a lifelong dream of moving to Wilmington, NC and joined the emerging sales team of Landfall, a gated 2,200 acre community located on the Intracoastal Waterway within biking distance of Wrightsville Beach. Susan just loves the Wrightsville Beach lifestyle, walking to the beach, restaurants, school and church. As a resident for nearly a decade, she is thoroughly familiar with what Wrightsville Beach has to offer and is very enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge with potential buyers in the area. Susan is a native of Fayetteville, NC and attended Saint Mary's in Raleigh and UNC-Chapel Hill.

Upon graduation she spent six years in Boston working for a major real estate developer. After returning to Fayetteville to marry and start a family, she always felt drawn to the Wilmington area and purchased an older house in the Downtown Historic District as a second home. From there her family bought a condominium near the beach before moving to Wrightsville full time. Susan has also had the advantage of spending summers and family vacations with her parents at their Long Beach (now Oak Island) and Bald Head Island homes. Susan and her husband Larry are the proud parents of a daughter and son, both of whom attended Wrightsville Beach School. Attending West Virginia State and West Virginia University, Alison earned a BS in Elementary Education. She taught in Charlotte, NC and in Wilmington, NC. Eva Elmore was born and raised in the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area. After attending UNC-Chapel Hill and graduating in 1981, she returned to the coast and began a career in the insurance industry in a family business.
