Come enjoy Southern hospitality amid the vibrant color of azaleas and spring flowers during the 66th Annual Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour© in the beautiful coastal community of Wilmington, North Carolina. An official event of the North Carolina Azalea Festival, the tour is one of the longest running and most popular garden tours in the South.
The 2019 Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour©April 5-7, in Wilmington, NC, will be filled with blooming gardens AND beautiful art reflecting them. It’s a double win for ticket holders who will experience eleven spectacular gardens, as well as dozens of artists painting live in those gardens during the 4th Annual Plein Air Paint Out. The artwork will then be available for purchase at the “Wet Paint” sale on Sunday afternoon, April 7th from 1:00-4:00 at Harbor Way Gardens in Wrightsville Beach.
Tickets for the ‘Glory of Gardening’ have just been released. They are $35 each and available online and at 18 local outlets (visit their website for a list of locations). TICKETS ARE LIMITED THIS YEAR. Plan to purchase them early. The 2019 ticket and tour booklet include photographs of each home on tour. A map is included to help navigate from one garden to the next. Three "Secret Gardens" are accessible ONLY via the trolley. The two trolley locations are clearly marked on the ticket.
This year the New Hanover County Arboretum is sponsoring Fairy Garden displays to inspire you and make you smile. Come follow the scavenger hunt and vote for your favorite. Fairy Hair for Fairies of all ages will be available on Saturday from 10:00 - 3:00 thanks to Pixie Beach Fairy Hair.
Tickets may be purchased online for $35 (plus $1.50 postage) or at locations listed on their website. Children under 12 are admitted free with a paid adult. Admission is valid for all three days.
